The estate, before
Can Cruells is the oldest house in the district of Planoles. Documented in 1069, by the name of Chrosells or Crosellos, a name with a Celtic and pre-Romanic origin that means "empty inside", it was an agricultural and livestock farmer's estate that worked for the abbey of Sant Joan de les Abadesses. Over the next centuries, the different owners have been restoring and extending the estate's space in order to meet the present needs.

The estate, now
Ten years ago, this estate was turned into a rural tourism house. Since then, we have been working to offer the best assistance and a quality service. With this objective and with the intention to expand our gastronomic and hotel supply, in 2010 we have achieved the category of three stars Rural Hotel and the restaurant has been opened. All the spaces are conceived to offer the comfort and the enjoyment of the rural hotel throughout the year. There is a living room and a library inside and vast green spaces surrounding the hotel.
There is an organic kitchen garden on the estate, where seasonal vegetables are grown. The restaurant's menu is produced with products from the kitchen garden and follows the parameters of a healthy and balanced cuisine. 

The natural environment surrounding the estate is ideal for walking. There are three paths of different levels of difficulty departing from the hotel. Children may discover and care for our farm animals: collecting eggs, feeding the rabbits or keeping an eye on the sheep. 
There are horses and donkeys on the estate that, like other farm animals, may be visited and fed. Mountain vineyard. 
There is a six hundred grapevine plantation used for wine production for our own consumption.
